2. Tibetan Medicine Centre

It is an ancient system, derived from the Tibetan civilization’s concepts about the environment, the human being and health, diseases and diagnostic techniques, means and methods used for prophylaxis and treatment. Its healing traditions have survived up to the present without significant changes in its theoretical foundations; hence this system is of unique value for the contemporary society.
The Tibetan medicine centre is located in Ulan-Ude – the capital of the Buryat Republic. It’s proud of having been supported by the Buryat Scientific Centre. Nowadays the staff of the Department of Tibetan Medicine of the Institute of General and Experimental Biology total fifty-one researches, four with doctorate degrees and nineteen candidates of sciences among them.
